LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - A Lawton couple needs the community's help in catching a thief who stole a package from their front porch, and it was all caught on their surveillance camera. The man walked up to their door on Northwest Maple Avenue on Monday, while accompanied by his dog, and took the package that was filled with prescription medication.

Eli and Bethany Morlett said they didn't realize the package had been taken until a neighbor stumbled across the open package discarded in a nearby park, and brought it back.  That's when they decided to review their surveillance video, and were shocked to learn they had been targeted by a brazen thief.

"I really was just like, ‘What was he thinking?’” said Bethany. “I don't understand why someone that takes things that aren't theirs."

The couple reported the theft to police, and took to social media and posted the video and a photo of the man they want identified. The video already has 8,500 views, and has been shared over 200 times.

The couple says the thief was obviously disappointed by what he found inside, discarding the package along with all of the medication.
