Altus police investigate home invasion, possible sexual assault

ALTUS, OK (KSWO) -The Altus Police Department is investigating a home invasion and possible sexual assault.

Police say it happened near the 1500 block of Debby Street late Tuesday afternoon. They say a black man in his 40s forced his way into a woman's home, but she was able to get to her neighbor's house to call 911.

When officers arrived on scene the woman was found with multiple lacerations on her body.

Authorities say she was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
