COMANCHE COUNTY, OK (KSWO)- Police are searching for the man who accidentally drove his Jeep into Lake Lawtonka Friday evening.

It happened on East Lake Dr., between the dam and Schoolhouse Slough. Police say it appeared the driver was going too fast, failed to make the turn, went through a tree, and then tumbled into the shallow water.  A fisherman saw the wreck and watched the man walk to shore, apparently unhurt. While police searched for him, the tow truck driver faced his own set of challenges.

"I'm going to run my cable down here, hook to the back of it, right through here and hopefully it comes out in one piece," said Gary Garrett.

The driver was last seen walking near the water treatment plant, which is near the crash site, about an hour after he drove into the lake.
