LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -A Lawton man, already charged with shooting and wounding a man in 2014, is now facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
After considering more evidence in the case, and following a preliminary hearing, a judge is now ordering Victor Copeland to be held over for trial.
Copeland was originally charged in September 2014 in connection with the shooting death of Allen Anderson at a home in northwest Lawton. Anderson's brother, Robert Anderson, was injured in the shooting and Copeland was charged in Robert's shooting.
According to court documents, Copeland blamed Allen's death on two juveniles who were with him when they went to the home to confront Robert over a drug deal.
Copeland will now have to answer to charges of conspiracy to commit murder in the second degree, along with other charges. He's due in court later at the end of May.
