Officers attend annual memorial service

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (KSWO) -Officers from all over the state, along with Lawton Police Department's Honor Guard, attended the 48th annual Oklahoma Law Enforcement Memorial Service.

Friday morning's service held at the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety headquarters in Oklahoma City. The event is dedicated to the service of all law enforcement officers in Oklahoma, past, present and officers to come.

To date, 754 known officers have been killed in the line of duty in Oklahoma. One hundred and fifty-five names of those fallen officers were recently engraved on the memorial tablets that were dedicated during Friday's service.
