MANGUM, OK (KSWO) - A Greer County was arrested after a woman's death was ruled a homicide.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Dusty Earl Grossman was arrested on a warrant for first-degree murder Monday. He's accused of killing 51-year-old Carla Pursley after she was found unresponsive in the home they shared in Willow, Oklahoma, on July 25, 2015.

Grossman told authorities that Pursley’s health declined so far that she needed constant care. He went on to say even her mental capacity greatly diminished.

An autopsy showed Pursley was the victim of a homicide and that she died from asphyxiation. The autopsy completed by the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner stated she had bruises on her abdomen, pelvis and left thigh. There was also evidence her ankles and right wrist were tied down.

Grossman was arrested at the Greer County Sheriff’s Office in Mangum.
