LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -A Lawton father, accused in the death of his 1-month-old daughter, has changed his plea.

Alexander Sawyer was set to be tried in May for second-degree manslaughter, but he changed his plea today from "not guilty" to "guilty."

His baby died January 2015 after she rolled off a bed that she and four other people were sleeping and became wedged between the mattress and a wall.

Sawyer did not take a plea deal and will be sentenced next month.

The child's mother, Kayla Sawyer, pleaded guilty to the same charge in December 2015 and is currently serving a two-year prison sentence.
