LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –A GEO employee was arrested Tuesday morning after she was caught smuggling drugs in her body.

A GEO supervisor told police Ashley Hart, an employee, came to work with a strong smell of marijuana coming from her body. The supervisor took Hart into a conference room to question her when Hart said she needed to use the bathroom.

Once Hart and the supervisor went in the bathroom, the smell of marijuana became even stronger. Hart then removed a bag of marijuana wrapped in electrical tape from her rectum and handed it to the supervisor. As she was being arrested, Hart denied having anything else illegal on her.

She was booked into the Lawton City Jail for bringing contraband into a penal institution. She then told a civilian employee at the city jail, “I didn’t even get paid for this yet.”

Hart was changing into jail clothing when city jail employees noticed a bag of marijuana wrapped in electrical tape fell when Hart removed her bra. Jail employees asked if she had anything else and Hart then took out two more similarly wrapped bags tied off in a condom from her genitals. At that point an additional charge of bringing contraband into a penal institution was added.

The bag removed at GEO weighed 39 grams, the bag from her bra weighed 34 grams and the last two had a combined weight of 86 grams. The grand total weight of the marijuana and packaging came to 159 grams. It was all sent off to OSBI for analysis.
