LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -A woman died after her vehicle was hit at the intersection of Deyo Mission Road and Cache Road at 12:36 p.m. Wednesday.

The collision happened at the intersection of Deyo Mission Road and Cache Road. Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Jeri Brittain was headed west on Cache Road when the driver of a northbound pickup either ran a stop sign or failed to yield to traffic and slammed into her SUV.

The collision knocked her car through two fences before it came to a stop in a nearby field. She was pinned in her vehicle for about 30 minutes before the Cache Fire Department was able to get her out with the Jaws of Life.

The woman was taken by Mediflight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She died at the hospital at 2:32 p.m.

The man who caused the crash was not hurt.

The accident is still being investigated by Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
