LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - We are close to election day when we will vote for our next President. But what about state and local elections? In Lawton at a local barber shop, voters learned all about what will be on the ballot in November.

Ice Tre's opened up their shop to the Together Oklahoma Coalition to give the voters information on how to register, where to vote and what will they be voting on.

D.J. Zackary, co-owner of the shop, says he wanted to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for people to come and learn.

"Politic awareness in my demographic is very, very low,” said Zackary. “And most times it is due to the fact that they feel intimidated learning the government, going to the government, going to city hall, going to talk to politicians and other officials. It seems intimidated if you don't know anything."

They talked a lot about the 7 state questions that will be coming up for a vote. Also, they told the crowd how you can look up information about the election after they left the shop.
