LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - The last day of the Lawton International Festival wrapped up Sunday, and people enjoyed different cultures in the nice, cool weather.
It was the last chance to visit the 60 vendors that offer food, shopping and entertainment from all over the world. Saturday night, the last few hours of the festival was canceled because of the storms blowing through the area. But that didn't stop people from enjoying the attractions the next day.
Ron Sweigart with Okie Old Timer Root Beer, says that didn't scare them away either.
"We do segments all over the state," said Sweigart. "In fact, we don't go out of state. We stay strictly in Oklahoma, and this is probably one of our most favorites areas."
Sweigart says they get voted the best looking booth every year they come to the festival. The International Festival happens every year in Lawton, and this year was the 37th year of celebrating different cultures.
