Woman shot Wednesday morning in Lawton

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - Lawton police are on the scene of a shooting this morning.

Officers were called to the area of Northwest 58th Street and Liberty Avenue a little after 7 a.m. Paramedics told dispatchers they were taking a woman who had been shot once to a hospital. There's no word on her condition. An investigation is just getting underway.

They consider the plan a better alternative to the Governor's plan to raise taxes on services by $840 million.
