Community invited to write notes on family's new home

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - On Friday, a Lawton family will read inspirational notes of support and encouragement that the community has been writing on the studs of their new home.

The Garcia's were surprised with the announcement that they would receive a new home at the Lawton Rangers Rodeo this year, and broke ground on August 26th. US Army Sergeant Tomas Garcia is a wounded veteran of war. 

Representatives from Operation Finally Home, Hawkins Custom Homes, City National Bank are inviting thel Lawton community to come write a note to the family Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Garcia's future home. The address is in the Dove Creek Addition at 5415 Southwest Trevor Circle.

The family will read the "Notes of Love " Friday at 6 p.m.

    The three teenagers who were killed after they allegedly broke into an Oklahoma home have been identified Authorities say three teenagers dressed in black and wearing masks and gloves broke into a Broken Arrow home through a back door Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Officials told KFOR the homeowner’s son, 23, killed all three teens with an AR-15.
