LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - New information on the effort to launch a recycling program in Lawton.  They still need about 1,500 more people to sign up to get things started.

The company that has agreed to run the service has said they at least 5,000 citizens to sign up in order to make it cost-effective.  Residents would pay an extra $7 a month on their utility bill. The company would provide a 95 gallon cart to each household that subscribes. You can fill it with plastic, metals, paper, and cardboard. Carts would be collected curbside once per week.
