Car crashes into Sonic in Elgin

ELGIN, OK (KSWO) -A car crashed into the Sonic in Elgin off 8th street this afternoon. 

A female driving a white car was driving on 8th street, went to make a left turn into sonic, clipped their passenger side mirror on light pole, then drove through some small bushes. Vehicle went into the foliage area in front of the building and crashing into one of the sonic order signs. The restaurants roof that's hanging over the scene is also hanging down. 

Driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital. Cause of the accident is still under investigation, but unsafe speeds could be a factor.
