Marlow church hosts family night

Marlow church hosts family night

MARLOW, OK (KSWO)- Dozens of families gathered Wednesday in Marlow to spend some time together and get in the mood for Halloween.

It was part of family night with the First Baptist Church. Around 50 families came out for the event.
They worked together to carve pumpkins and there was a contest to determine the best one.

We spoke with the children's minister, who told us he loves hosting these types of events.

"Families are always so busy doing things for each other", said minister Jacob Steward. "There's always one parent here, one parent there, going to baseball games and such. This kind of brings them together and gives them the time to do work together and actually do things as a family."

The First Baptist Church in Marlow will also host an event on Halloween night. There will be a petting zoo along with free food and drinks. That event runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
