Fort Sill soldiers set to return Friday

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - Hundreds of Fort Sill soldiers are set to return to post on Friday.

About 300 troops with 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery have been deployed to South Korea since January. They're known as the as the "Red Dragons." Their mission was to protect South Korea's capital, Seoul, from North Korean long range artillery.

A welcome home ceremony is set for 3:30 Friday afternoon at Rinehart Fitness Center on post, but that time could change. You can count on us to keep you updated throughout the day.

    Eight local restaurants will take part in Dine United, a program designed to support the United Way of Stephens County. The week-long event begins Monday and runs through Friday. Participating restaurants are Interurban, The Territory, Giuseppe’s Italian Dining in Marlow, Don Jose Mexican Food, Jonny’s at Oak Tree, the Rib Crib, LaTaqueria and Don Jose Tortilla Grill in Comanche.
