Oklahoma attorney general to meet with President-elect Trump

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A spokesman for Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt says Pruitt is to meet with President-elect Donald Trump.

Lincoln Ferguson told reporters that Pruitt will meet with Trump and his transition team Monday in New York City.

Pruitt is a Republican and former state legislator. He was elected attorney general in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.

He is not eligible to run for re-election again because of term limits and has been considered a possible future candidate for governor.

Gov. Mary Fallin and former state House Speaker T.W. Shannon have met previously with Trump.

Beyond their war of words, the row touched on several sensitive issues in Trump's White House, including a lack of racial diversity, security in the executive mansion and a culture that some there feel borders on paranoia.
