LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - The Lawton Fire Department is working to bring the community together to make a difference in a child's life for the holidays.
The Christmas for Kids toy drive starts Saturday at 8 a.m. with the Coffee and Cars event at the Cache Road Square Shopping Center.
At noon, a toy drive will begin at Freedom Fitness of Lawton.
The Lawton Fire Department asks that you bring one or more unwrapped 'Toys for children up to 12 years of age.
At 7 p.m., the toy drive will continue at the Cameron University men
s basketball game and the Lawton RC Raceway.
James Schneider of the Lawton Fire Department asks that everyone show their support in the drive.

"The Fire Department has always been a part of giving back to the community and this particular cause of giving back to the kids at Christmas time,” Schneider said. “It's a great feeling to be able to help."
Toys donated will be distributed on the 15th, 16th and 17th.
