WICHITA MOUNTAINS WILDLIFE REFUGE, OK (KSWO) - A major water leak is the reason why the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center closed its doors Friday afternoon.

According to the refuge's Facebook page, the center will be closed until further notice. They said there is a major leak in the water pressure tank, and signs on the door of the center say "No Water" and direct visitors to where they can find the nearest restrooms.

The leak was discovered Friday afternoon. The new tank they have ordered to replace the leaking one won't be in until next week. They also said they shut down for health and safety concerns.
