7News Editorial- Shopping local supports area businesses and economy

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Last month, KSWO ran an editorial on the benefits of "shopping local."  My name is Kenneth Easton and we’ve been proud Lawton Business owners for the past 74 years.

We feel the benefits of shopping locally far outweigh other options because not only can you can see, feel, compare, and check the quality and size the items you are purchasing, but you can also use them right away.

When you shop local, your purchase helps that merchant as well as other businesses and services that support operational costs.

We all enjoy things like arts, parks, athletics, and recreational facilities.  Local shopping provides the funds for these activities.  We thank KSWO for calling attention to the benefits of shopping local.
