Lawton homeless and hungry welcome to free meal at the library March 11th

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Their first event was a success and now they're doing it again. A local catering company will feed the homeless this weekend. The free meal is put together by a local catering company with money donated from the community.

"We just want to give back to the community. We have so many people around here that are homeless and really, really need a hot meal," said Shavondia Hadley of Shay's Catering.

The free luncheon is set for March 11th at the Lawton Public Library from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. They'll have hamburgers, hotdogs and a lot more. It's open to the homeless and anyone who needs a meal.

Hadley says this is something they plan to do the second Saturday of every month.
