OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Police say a suspect has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a man in southwest Oklahoma City.

Sgt. Gary Knight said Monday that the suspect was arrested less than a quarter-mile from the stabbing of 24-year-old Roger Lee Mairel.

Court records do not show that formal charges have been filed.

Police say Mairel was found with stab wounds shortly before midnight last Thursday and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A suspected motive for the stabbing has not been released.
