LPD is accepting applications for Jr. Citizens Police Academy

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Sign for kids up for this great summer program now. The Lawton Police Department will be hosting its 2nd annual Junior Citizens Police Academy this summer.

The Junior Citizens Police Academy gives teens a peek inside what it is like to be a police officer while building community relations.

There are currently two sessions to choose from. Greater Galilee Baptist Church, located at 1428 SW Jefferson Avenue, will host the first session June 26th through 30th. Impact Center, located at 2810 NW Sheridan Road, will host the second session July 17th through 21st. All sessions are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A lunch is provided.

Teens between ages 13 and 17 who live or work in Lawton are welcome to attend this free seminar. Applications must be turned in to the Lawton Police Department by June 19th. Space is limited.
