Woodland Hills Elementary School celebrates student success

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Woodland Hills Elementary School crowned the multiplication kings and queens.

These 3rd graders have been working hard all year to learn their multiplication tables up to number twelve.

Rebecca Wyatt is a third-grade teacher at Woodland hills and she says it is important to recognize the handwork and achievements of her students.

“It is very important to celebrate this because not only do they have a test coming up but they have stressors at home and big things they have to do at school academically. This is just one of those events where they just get to have fun and know that they are loved and appreciated around the school,” Wyatt explained.

Students also had cake and a toast then paraded through the school so that all of their peers could take part in the festivities and recognize them for their achievement.

Wyatt says all of the third-grade teachers are very proud of all the effort the students have put forth this school year. She hopes that the younger students are inspired to learn their multiplication tables from this fun program.
