LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - A fundraiser on Saturday night aimed to help support the medical needs for the sick children at Comanche County Memorial Hospital.

The 12th annual Starlight Fundraiser was at the Hilton Garden Inn. Auction items and sponsors helped raise the money to provide new technologies and facilities to care for the children in Southwest Oklahoma.

Comanche County Memorial Hospital Foundation Director Lea Ann Chandler says they want to provide the best services for all of those in need, and to not turn anyone in need away.

“We rely on the community, and we rely on that financial support to keep up with the technology, equipment, and capital needs necessary to make that happen," said Chandler.

Foundation history was made that night as well. Before the event even started, they already raised $100,000 thanks to sponsorship dollars. Their goal was to get to $200,000 by the end of the night.
