Lawton police look for robbery suspect

LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - Lawton police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store.
The man reportedly robbed the Stripes on the corner of 11th and Lee Boulevard around 3:45 Thursday morning.
The clerk told dispatchers that a man wearing a teal hoody and pajama pants told him to give him all the money from the cash register.
The clerk didn't see one, but believes the robber may have had a gun in his pocket.
He took off running behind the store after the crime.

A publication in the journal Science Advances says there is an 80 percent chance of such a quake hitting the state this year. That goes against an earlier study from Stanford this year, which said there was only a 37-percent chance.

    The Altus Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Marielle Trey Smith, 24. A warrant for 2nd-degree murder has been issued for Smith’s arrest. Altus police officers believe that Smith is involved in the shooting death of 32-year-old Jared Allen Holmes in the 400 block of North Julian. Investigators found evidence that the shooting took place at an Altus residence on Sunday night around 9:00 p.m.
