Charges filed against teen in Lawton shooting

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Charges have been filed against a 17-year-old boy in a shooting last weekend in Lawton that left one person injured.

It happened last Saturday on Northwest 22nd Street, near Smith Avenue. The victim told police he was walking down the street when he was shot in the arm.

Police say a group inside the car where the shots came from, had been following the victim. He identified the driver as the brother of a man the victim had recently fought and said the shooter was sitting in the back seat.  Police tracked down the car and arrested three people.  The victim identified the 17-year-old as the shooter. 

The victim was treated and released from the hospital. If found guilty, the teen faces up to 7 years in prison.
