Duncan man pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree rape of minor

DUNCAN, OK (KSWO) -A Duncan man accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to second-degree rape.

According to police reports, the girl says she met 19-year-old Cory James Kern through social media and believed he was 17 years old. She admitted to having spent a week with him and says during that time she felt pressured into having sex with him. She added that her mother knew she was staying with Kern. Detectives found evidence of the sexual relationship between the two and photos of other underage girls on his cell phone.

The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation before Kern will be sentenced. Back in January, Kern waived his right to a speedy trial.
