LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Nearly 40 vendors set up shop for a health expo and safety fair on Fort Sill.

Southwestern Medical Center, Comanche County Health Department, Red Cross and more

everything worked to promote awareness and education.

Soldiers volunteered their time to make sure everything went well.

Visitors grabbed fruit and vegetables, rock climbed and even worked up a sweat in a quick workout.

The Health and Safety organizers of the event say this year has been one of their best turnouts since they decided to collaborate nearly five years ago.

“A lot of people really don't know what's available to them out here,” said Garry Gaede, Safety Fair Organizer.

"Better nutrition or how you can make modifications with diet or shopping,” said Rachel Tyler, Health, and Fitness Organizer. “Some simple things like that they can implement into their lifestyles."

The annual event also brought out many organizations from Fort Sill including the Reynolds Army Health Clinic, Liberty Produce, the Nye Library, Fort Sill Sharp Representatives and more.
