New details about murder of Edmond man

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (KSWO)– We’re learning more today about the murder of a beloved member of the downtown Edmond business community.

Beaux McGlothlin, 79, worked at McCall’s high-end men’s clothing store for 24 years. The owner thought it strange when McGlothlin didn’t show up to work on Tuesday so he sent another employee to the McGlothlin residence to check on him.  

That’s when officers found McGlothlin bludgeoned to death inside his home and his Tahoe, cell phone and checkbook missing.

Investigators tracked McGlothlin’s cell phone to a woman who said she took several items from a Tahoe that was being driven by Aaron Spottedcorn.

Spottedcorn reportedly admitted to police that he was in possession of the Tahoe. Investigators thought that “several stained areas on his clothing” may be blood. Authorities also discovered a plaster statue was covered in what appeared to be blood.

Spottedcorn now faces charges of first-degree murder, concealing stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
