Broken Arrow standoff ends with tear gas

BROKEN ARROW, OK (KSWO)- A standoff with Oklahoma police is over this morning after lasting three hours. Broken Arrow officers were called after a woman said a man she was in a relationship with beat her.

When medical workers got there, the man barricaded himself inside the house with a weapon. The police department's Special Ops team was called to handle the situation. They were able to talk with the man over the phone.

The suspect turned himself over to authorities after tear gas was released into the home. He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
