One man in custody, second sought in murder of Guthrie man shot 36 times

GUTHRIE, Ok (KSWO) -

Police have arrested one man and are searching for a second in the shooting death of Guthrie man last week.

OSBI agents informed 37-year-old Reggie Dewayne Smith on Wednesday that a warrant for his arrest on first-degree murder charges had been issued. Smith was in the Logan County Jail on an unrelated charge when agents met with him.

25-year-old Derrick Eugene Smith, also has a warrant for first-degree murder out for his arrest but he is not currently in custody.

According to the OSBI, the two men are cousins.

The two men are accused of shooting 24-year-old Joey Angelo over 30 times at a home in Guthrie last week.
