TULSA, OK (KSWO)- The Tulsa Police Department will soon be looking for a new bomb detection dog.  Bic, along with his handler, are both retiring from the force.

Over their nine years together, they checked unattended baggage, investigating bomb threats, and even provided protection for Vice President Joe Biden, First Lady Laura Bush and President George W. Bush.

"We're happy for Bic, and we wish him the best in retirement. He'll be going home with Officer Davis, lounging around and laying on his dog bed I hope."

The department has five other dogs to pick up the slack until they find a replacement. Since his handler is also retiring, they'll need to train a new handler as well.
