LOGAN COUNTY, OK (KSWO)- The woman who owns the property where Deputy David Wade was murdered is speaking out. She was just feet away from Wade when LeForce, quote, "just went berserk and started shooting."
The homeowner called 911 and spoke to Deputy Wade while waiting for help to get there.
"He was laying on the ground and he said exactly, just talking in general, 'I don't know why I didn't say I love you to my wife and two children this morning," said Judy Antle.
Deputy Wade's body camera footage, showing the moments leading up to the shooting, clearly shows Deputy Wade did nothing to instigate any sort of violent confrontation.
Police are still investigating why LeForce was at the home in the first place. He was not listed on the eviction order and has no ties to the property. The renters, John and Christine Lute, were present at the home when the eviction notice was served. They have since been arrested on unrelated drug charges.
LeForce is set to be arraigned today in Logan county. Police are still searching for the firearm that was used to kill David Wade. A funeral for Deputy Wade is scheduled for Monday afternoon in Guthrie.
