Free Forever in Your Mind concert April 23rd on Ft. Sill celebrates the Month of the Military Child

FORT SILL, OK (KSWO)- Disney enthusiasts and pop music fans, do we have an event for you! This weekend, the band Forever in Your Mind is performing for free on Fort Sill.

Because April is Month of the Military Child, organizers are hoping to shed some light on what military children go through.

"It's just good to recognize military children for the sacrifices they endure throughout their lifetime. The fact their parents are deployed, many moves, and it's just a great opportunity for us to invite the community out and see these two acts," said Michele Flanagan, the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Marketing Director.

It'll take place Sunday afternoon on the Polo Field.  Gates open at 1:00 p.m. and the show starts at 2:45. "American Idol" finalist Tristan McIntosh will be the show opener.

The show is open to all Department of Defense cardholders and guests. You will need a visitor's pass if you don't have a DOD card.  You can get that at the Visitor's center on Sheridan Road.
