LOGAN COUNTY, OK (KSWO)- The Logan County District Attorney will seek the death penalty against Nathan LeForce, who is accused of shooting and killing Deputy David Wade.

He appeared this morning for his first arraignment. He's charged with first-degree murder, larceny of motor vehicle after a former felony conviction, and first-degree armed robbery after a former felony conviction.

According to authorities, LeForce drove away in the deputy’s truck after shooting and then carjacked a woman at gunpoint. LeForce was taken into custody after a manhunt.

LeForce is being held without bond. His next preliminary hearing will be 9:00 a.m. on April 27.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and other agencies are continuing to look for the weapon LeForce reportedly used to shoot Wade.
