OSBI investigates bodies found in burning home

DRUMRIGHT, OK (KSWO) - Oklahoma authorities are investigating the deaths of a man and woman who were found inside a burned home after firefighters put out the blaze.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says police in Drumright asked for assistance in the investigation after the bodies were found on Monday.

The OSBI says the bodies were sent to the state medical examiner's office for identification.

Authorities said a woman who was found dead inside appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.

A neighbor said he was surprised to hear about the whole situation.

"You wouldn't expect anything from someone like him. He was a pretty nice guy. I knew him from around town and worked with him."

Investigators say they believed the pair lived in the home. The victims’ identities have not been released. Authorities said they are not looking for any suspects at this time.
