LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Students at Carriage Hills Elementary got a firsthand look at something most children don't have the chance to see.
Survival Flight's Helicopter from Comanche County Memorial Hospital landed right in the middle of their playground. This experience allowed students the chance to learn more about the medical helicopter that transports everything from trauma patients to sick and injured children.
"It's really cool! I had no clue there was that stuff in there, four seats in the back, two people sitting in front and behind you so that was really cool," said Avery Doughty, a 4th-grade student at Carriage Hills Elementary.
Events like these give Survival Flight the chance to show the community what they do. Last month, they flew out to Bishop School where they had 570 students pass through the helicopter.
