JEFFERSON CO., OK (KSWO)-After a search lasting nearly 24-hours a man accused of raping a woman inside her home in Ryan is now behind bars.

Jefferson County Sheriff's officials arrested Charles Ritchey Friday afternoon after a resident saw him walking along County Road 2020.  Realizing he matched the description of the man law enforcement were searching for, they called authorities who then caught up with Ritchey and arrested him.
According to officials, they received a 911 call just after 3:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon about a woman who was sexually assaulted in her home. They say she was able to escape and run two blocks to another residence for help. The woman was taken to the hospital for observation.

Ritchey ran from the scene, prompting the manhunt involving several other agencies from Waurika, Ringling and Ryan.

Ritchey is now in the Jefferson County Jail facing charges of first degree rape and aggravated sexual assault.
