LAWTON, OK (KSWO) -One person's trash is another's treasure and that treasure is what Southwest Oklahomans got a chance to find Saturday at the Lawton garage, antiques and collectibles sale.

Anything from hot wheels, monopoly board games, old rustic furniture to rustic wooden crosses were for sale at the Great Plains Coliseum today. This event has been put on by Town Square Media for over 10 years now.

It gives residents and vendors a chance to set up a booth for 40 dollars and sell their unique, one of a kind treasures.

James and Annette Vaughan say this is one of their favorite events every year because it's hard to find some of these items in stores.

"This is one of those annual things we look forward to and we have a granddaughter who loves books, so we knew we could come here and probably find some books for her. There's a blood drive going on. It's nice to be inside when it's all rainy outside, so we're just here to walk around and have a good time."

Jeri Anderson, an organizer for the event and vendor of scentsy says this is a great way to meet people and share your antiques.

"It gives us a chance to get in the community again. We're so busy. Everyone is so busy. This gives us a chance to meet and greet people and for them to get to know us. We enjoy it every year."

If you didn't get the chance to make it to the event today, you'll just have to wait until next year. For more information on how to get a booth to sell your antiques call 580-581-3600.
