City of Amarillo Municipal Court holding 3rd annual Veteran's Docket and Service Day

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -

The City of Amarillo Municipal Court will hold their third annual Veteran's Docket and Service Day next Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Municipal Court and the Amarillo VA Healthcare System have partnered together to provide assistance with outstanding city-issued citations and violations. 

From 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., the VA Health Care System has arranged several provider agencies to educate veterans on available resources and continuing services. 

"This court is prepared to work with each veteran to find a reasonable solution for any City-issued violations," said Court Administrator Victoria Jaramillo Medley. "The focus will be on addressing court compliance while ensuring that the specific needs of the veteran is also being met. The provider agencies will be set up at the court in a designated area and will provide one-on-one guidance."

  • Legal Aid of Northwest Texas
  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Texas Workforce Solutions,
  • Military Veteran Peer Network
  • Vet Center
  • VetStar
  • MET Inc.
  • Salvation Army
