One person is dead and four others have been hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover last night.
Around 10:00 p.m., 18-year-old Anthony Estrada was driving a 2002 Honda southeast on Brick Plant road around seven miles northwest of Amarillo.
Officials say Estrada failed to negotiate a curve in the road and lost control of the car, causing the car to roll over multiple times before coming to a rest upside down in a ditch.
Estrada was pronounced dead on the scene.
DPS officials say four other passengers in the car were ejected. Trevor Chambers, 18, was air lifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Cheri Ray, 18, Rebecca Ray, 18, and Ambrea Michael, 19, were all transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
DPS officials say no one was wearing a seat belt, and speed is suspected to be a contributing factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
