LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Sunday marks the last day of the tattoo convention at Apache Casino Hotel.
The event is called Inkin' Oklahoma and features over 50 artists from around the world.
People can get personalized tattoos and piercings.
Owner of S-B Body Arts located in Oklahoma City Dustin Mathis said he's been doing piercings for 17 years.
He specializes in dermal anchors, surface piercings, and body suspensions.
Mathis said the convention has been a great way for him to connect with other artists and most importantly cater to the unique community.
"It changes them,” said Mathis. “It makes them happy if it's something that they've wanted for a long time. A lot of people get nervous and scared and after they get it done they are like wow that's all it was. It makes their day. It makes my day too."
Piercings from Mathis start at $40 and can go up depending on the style and jewelry.
Sunday is the last day of the weekend-long convention. It will go on until 8 p.m.
Tickets are sold at the door for $20.
