Cameron University is bringing their academic festival to Duncan

DUNCAN, OK (KSWO)- Cameron University is bringing its current academic festival, "American Identities in the 21st Century," to the Duncan community with "America's Place in Cancer Research," a panel discussion that will address the state of cancer research in the U.S. and in a global context.

The panel presentation takes place on tonight in the Duncan Regional Hospital Pavilion Auditorium. The event will open with a reception at 5:30 p.m. The panel will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public at no charge.

Panelists for the event are oncologists Dr. Michael Kerley, Dr. Eugenio Najera and Dr. George Selby. CU faculty member Dr. Wendy Whitman Cobb, Assistant Professor and author of "The Politics of Cancer: Malignant Indifference," will serve as moderator.
