Kids kick off trick-or-treating at Lawton City Hall’s Halloween Bash

LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Kids and even those who are still kids at heart got a chance to celebrate Halloween this afternoon at Lawton's City Hall. A big Halloween Bash was held this afternoon. Lots of superheroes, princesses, and little monsters were treated to candy and a whole lot more.

While they were having a good time, so were the big kids.

"I'm in uniform all day long so as you can tell I'm in a doughnut right now. So, for them, it gives them a good laugh, let's them see we're people just like them and we can have fun like kids as well, so I'm just a big grown up kid,” said LPD Officer Dustin Dye.

Dye says it's a great way for him, as a police officer, to interact with the youngsters.
