LINCOLN COUNTY, OK (KSWO)- The mother of two children in Lincoln County, who were shot with a crossbow almost two weeks ago is speaking out. Her oldest son died at the scene, but his younger brother survived.
On October 21st, deputies were called to a rural area in Wellston where a 13-year-old boy shot the two brothers with a broadhead arrow.
"My son said it was not an accident," said Elizabeth Conaway. "He had his first basketball game the following Monday. He was so excited."
The 10-year-old was shot in the stomach, and the arrow continued on to hit his 8-year-old brother in the arm. The identity of the boy who fired the crossbow has not been released.
