FREDERICK, OK (KSWO)- Frederick is the place to be this weekend, folks!
The Chamber of Commerce is holding its 10th Annual Cotton Festival all day tomorrow on the Courthouse lawn. There will be plenty for the kids to do- a chili cook-off, a trade show, entertainment, and the Big Pasture Classic Ranch Rodeo hosted by the Tri-County Cattleman's Association.
More than 20 teams will compete. They're coming from Texas, Arizona, Kansas and Colorado along with some from Oklahoma.
"It's gonna be tough. We're gonna be giving away $35,000 at the rodeo so this ain't no pumpkin rolling, it's a big dadgum deal. Tomorrow is going to be a good day to be in Frederick, Oklahoma," said Organizer Ethan Treadwell.
The rodeo kicks off at the rodeo grounds at 9:00 a.m. with the ranch horse competition and runs all day. There will be a dance afterward.
The Cotton Festival is completely free but you're asked to bring a canned good or toy for admission into the rodeo.
