LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - The Great Plains Coliseum was filled to the brim with people having fun and supporting the arts at the annual Arts for All Gala.
The Gala gave the community a night of good food, art and dancing.
Attendees also got to take part in a silent auction, placing bids on pieces from local artists and other prizes.
All proceeds went toward Arts for All committee members – like the Lawton Community Theater and the Lawton Philharmonic – but the event MC Albert Rivas said the fundraising went far beyond simply supporting the arts.
"Without arts, a community can't really thrive,” he said. “With arts being defunded as they are across the state and across the United States, organizations like Arts for All is very important to the community.”
The night's live music was provided by the band Summer Breeze.
