LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Lawton Firefighters Association kicked off their annual Christmas for Kids toy drive on Saturday with a motorcycle run across the city.

The drive was put on with the Lawton Coalition of Motorcycles.

Admission into the toy run today was one unwrapped toy.

People could also bring nonperishable food items to donate to the Lawton Food Bank.

All toys donated from the drive will be given to kids in need.

Chairman of the Christmas for Kids Association Brent Schelter said the program is dedicated to making a difference in a child's life during the holiday season.

"We want every kid to be able to have a great Christmas,” said Schelter. “And people fall on hard times and they just do the best they can and we want to be able to help out any way that we can help."

Schelter said they are accepting new unwrapped toys until the middle of December.

If you'd like to donate, toys can be dropped off at Central Fire Station on Southwest D avenue.
